Summer Signature Cocktails for Wedding Events

With still two months of summer to go, it’s a perfect time to serve up these summer signature cocktails for your upcoming celebrations. These cocktails would be perfect on a signature drink menu at The Center. Nothing is better on a hot summer day then a refreshing drink your guests can enjoy!

1. Strawberry Gin Smash Cocktail

Serves 1

1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 lime wedge
3 fresh strawberries, 2 hulled and sliced and 1 reserved for garnish
3 ounces gin
Club soda
Fresh mint sprig, to garnish

In a tall glass, combine the sugar and a squeeze of juice from the lime wedge. Muddle with the back of a spoon to dissolve the sugar. Add the sliced strawberries and lightly muddle. Fill the glass with ice and add the gin. Top with a splash of club soda and garnish with the last strawberry and a sprig of mint.

2. Pomegranate- Key Lime Vodka Cocktail

Serves 4
1/4 cup water
1 cup club soda
1 cup unsweetened pomegranate juice
1/2 cup vodka
3 tablespoons fresh Key lime juice (about 3 limes)
Crushed ice
Key lime slices (optional)

Combine sugar and 1/4 cup water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 2 minutes or just until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat; cool.

Combine sugar syrup, club soda, pomegranate juice, vodka, and lime juice. Place crushed ice in a martini shaker; add about 3/4 cup pomegranate mixture. Cover and shake. Strain into a glass. Garnish with lime slice, if desired. Repeat procedure with remaining pomegranate mixture.

3. Peach and Blackberry Muddle Bourbon Cocktail

Serves 1

4 thin slices peach
6 blackberries
2 large sprigs mint
1 1/2 teaspoons honey
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 ounces bourbon

In a double old-fashioned glass, combine 2 peach slices, 3 blackberries, mint, honey, and lemon juice. Mash gently with the back of a spoon until fruit releases juices. Add bourbon, remaining peach slices, and remaining blackberries. Fill glass with ice and top with seltzer.
